Grandma and Grandpa are back in Yakima now and can't wait to see all of you. This is going to be an exciting year with all the new cousins that are on their way. We won't be going back to Mexico for a long time so we'll get to spend lots more time together. See you real soon.

More cousins on the way....

To our precious nietos! Guess you've probably heard, you have two more cousins on the way.

Not only is Uncle Joel and Aunt Joyce going to have a baby girl, Jenna Mae, in May but Uncle Josh and Aunt Kristi are going to have a baby in September and Aunt Jackie and Uncle Jake are going to have a baby in October. Are you anxious to know if they are going to be boys or girls? We sure are. We'll know in just a few months. So we'll just have to be patient. This will make 9 grandchildren for us and 9 cousins for you. How much fun you will have playing together. Can't wait for Christmas this year.

So have you heard kids? You're going to have another "girl" cousin. Uncle Joel and Aunt Joyce just found out today they're going to have a baby girl. This means Grandma and Grandpa's grandchildren will be 4 girls and 3 boys. Guess the "Girls Rules", huh. :)

They think they might name her Jade. What do you think of that baby girl name?

Gala de Broadway

This is a picture of Grandma having dinner with her friend, Jan, here in Mazatlan. After dinner we went to a Broadway performance at the theater. It was put on by a group called "Dance, Inc." The group is instructed by the "Professional School of Contemporary Dance of Mazatlan". They performed dance/song clips of great Broadway performances such as Chicago, Hair Spray, A Chorus Line, Cabaret, and Big Spender/Sweet Charity. There were lots of young children too, as young as 4 years old.

Another cousin on the way......

Hey kids! Have you heard? You have another cousin on the way. Uncle Joel and Aunt Joyce are going to have a baby. It will be here in May of next year, 2010. Aren't you excited to have another cousin. We will know soon if it will be a boy or a girl.

Your new cousin Lucas!!

Hi kids - you probably know by now you have a new cousin. Uncle Josh and Aunt Kristi have a new baby boy named Lucas Anthony. He was born on July 16, Natalie's birthday. That sure is cool huh. Our oldest grandchild was born on July 16 and our youngest on July 16, exactly 9 years apart.

Well here are a few pictures of your cousin Lucas and his mommy and daddy too. We thought you might enjoy seeing these pictures. Won't Lucas be fun to play with in a few years? :)

Feeding baby parrots!!

Hola Nietos!! Grandpa and Grandma wanted to tell you about an adventure we had today.

We helped to feed some baby parrots. There were 270 Orange-fronted conure parrots that were taken from their mamas by some bad men here in Mexico. They were trying to take them across the border into the United States to sell them illegally and were caught by the Mexico police. These bad men are now in jail for 9 years.

Today we helped feed the baby parrots with a dropper. They have to be fed 3 times a day with Gerber baby food, like cereal and fruit. Some medicine and vitamins were also put in the baby food to help them grow strong. The baby parrots should be ready to feed themselves in about 2 weeks. It was an amazing experience getting all sticky feeding them the baby food with a dropper. When they get big enough, they will be released back into the forest some where close to Mazatlan. We are hoping to be able to watch them when they are released. We were so happy to be able to help these poor little baby parrots that had been taken from their mamas.

Hola Nietos!! Well just wanted to let you know your cousin that will be here in about 5 months, July 8th, Uncle Josh and Aunt Kristi's baby, is a boy!! Baby J will be here when it gets hot in the summertime and sometime right around Natalie and Serena's birthdays. Now Grandma and Grandpa will have 6 of you Nietos to love and spoil.

We miss all of you and will see you in just a few months. Some of you sooner than that.
